sat . WILL ROBERTS’ JOURNEY OF HOPE: WHEN FAITH LIGHTS THE WAY

A few days ago, this family left Alabama with no guarantees—only a fragile chance to save their son’s life.
Today, a photo of 15-year-old Will Roberts smiling in a treatment chair in California is the kind of moment that makes you believe. Because you know what it took to get here.
From the moment his family shared that Will is battling aggressive osteosarcoma—costing him his leg and spreading throughout his body—to the video he secretly recorded asking for a chance to live… to the strangers who opened their home so his family wouldn’t face this alone—his journey has moved countless hearts.
Now, Will is in California, beginning a treatment he couldn’t access back home.
His mother, Brittney, said: “We didn’t come here for comfort. We came for a chance.”
But what they found has been so much more.
“Complete strangers opened their doors to us… loved us… made space for us in a place that isn’t home, but made it feel like it was.”
And today brought something they’ve been praying for.
Will’s platelets have risen to 80,000—enough to begin a new cancer treatment.
“He was able to receive his first dose,” she shared.
He will return over the next few days to complete this first round. If his body responds, if his platelet count continues to rise… chemotherapy will be added next week.
This is a huge milestone.
Brittney also shared something deeply moving:
“For the first time since this all began… it felt like confirmation… like God saying, ‘I’ve been guiding you all along… I’m with you.’”
If you’ve been following Will’s journey, please keep going.
Keep praying for his body to respond. Keep believing that doors will continue to open.
And leave him a message he can read with a smile—because while this fight is far from over… today, there is hope.
