This third round of chemo has gone as well as it possibly could. There has been very little nausea, and the pain in Will’s leg has eased again. We are still waiting for his numbers to come down, but the biggest blessing is that his mental state is so much better than it was last week.
Friends and family have spent time with him at the hospital, and those simple moments—talking, laughing, watching movies, and walking the halls together—have lifted his spirit more than words can explain. In the middle of a hard battle, those small pieces of normal life feel like miracles.
This journey isn’t easy, but we’re learning to thank God for the little victories: a few days without pain, a peaceful mind, and the ability to eat and smile again.
Today, Will bravely made his first public appearance with his bald head. Some of his friends even shaved their heads too, just to stand beside him. Moments like that remind us that love, support, and friendship are sometimes the greatest strength of all.
