TST. Latest update on Will Roberts: his family is facing a heartbreaking new reality after doctors confirmed his cancer has spread to multiple areas of his body.

Ralph, Alabama — The Roberts family is facing one of the most painful moments of their lives after learning that their 14-year-old son, Will Roberts, is now battling widespread cancer following months of aggressive treatment for bone cancer.

Family games

Just weeks ago, Will underwent major surgery at MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston to remove tumors from his pelvis and femur. The family hoped the operation would mark a turning point. Instead, preliminary PET scan results delivered news no family is ever prepared to hear.

According to Will’s mother, Brittney Roberts, doctors have found that the cancer has spread to multiple areas of Will’s body, including his jaw, sternum, lymph nodes, liver, lungs, arms, and legs.

“Will’s cancer has spread everywhere,” Brittney wrote in a heartbreaking social media post. “We’ll sit and wait until Monday when we see if there’s even an option. I refuse to let the devil get me. God is not done with Will yet.”

Will was first diagnosed with osteosarcoma, an aggressive form of bone cancer, earlier this year. Since then, he has endured surgeries, chemotherapy, intense pain, and long hospital stays. In spite of everything, friends and family describe him as gentle, kind, and remarkably strong for someone his age.

“He just keeps fighting,” one family friend said. “Even when his body is tired, his spirit isn’t.”

The timing of this news has made it even harder for the family. With Christmas approaching, Brittney shared that this may be their last holiday together, a thought that has left the family emotionally shattered — yet determined to keep believing.

“The devil will not steal my joy this Christmas,” Brittney wrote. “I don’t know what our future holds, but I know our God is bigger.”

Will’s father, Jason Roberts, and his younger sister, Charlie, have remained by his side through every hospital stay, every scan, and every setback. The family has been forced to cancel plans, miss celebrations, and adjust their lives entirely around Will’s care.

Despite the devastating diagnosis, Will still holds on to simple dreams — hunting trips with his dad, fishing with friends, and spending time with Charlie. Those small moments, his mother says, are what keep them going.

“Pray that Will keeps the fighter instinct in him,” Brittney pleaded. “Pray that he still wants to drag me out of bed at five in the morning to go hunting. It’s not over until God says it is.”

As news of Will’s condition spread through their community, an outpouring of love, prayers, and messages flooded social media. Neighbors, classmates, church members, and even strangers have united around the family, hoping for a miracle.

While doctors prepare to discuss next steps in Will’s treatment, the Roberts family is focused on one thing above all else: time.

Every hug, every laugh, every shared meal matters now more than ever.

“We don’t know what tomorrow holds,” Brittney said. “But today, we’re still here. And as long as Will is here, we will keep believing.”

The family is asking everyone who hears Will’s story to pause and pray — for healing, for strength, and for peace in the days ahead.

For now, Will remains surrounded by love, faith, and a community that refuses to give up on him.
