LDL. Pain-Free Break Brings Hope for Young Cancer Fighter Will Roberts

Ralph, AL — After several intense days in and out of the hospital, 14-year-old Will Roberts is finally enjoying a moment of relief from the pain of battling bone cancer. Will, who has faced numerous complications and treatments over the past months, was recently discharged and was able to spend a few precious hours outside the hospital walls.

His mother, Brittney Roberts, shared the good news, expressing gratitude for the brief but meaningful respite. “What a gift this day has been. Pain free. A break out from the hospital. Time outside, laughter with people we love, deer hunting, dominoes, and just being together,” Brittney wrote.

The young teen even managed to make it to church to join in worship, a small but significant victory after days of uncertainty and discomfort. “We are so incredibly blessed. We will praise you God on the good and bad days! We need a miracle and we won’t stop pleading for Will’s healing,” Brittney added.

Despite the ongoing challenges of his condition, Will’s family emphasized the joy he brings when he’s feeling well. “Many would think it’s gloom and doom, but when Will is not in pain, it’s nothing short of a comedy sitcom here. He loves being surrounded by his friends and family,” Brittney said.

The Roberts family continues to rely on faith, community support, and prayer as they navigate the ups and downs of Will’s treatment. Friends and supporters are encouraged to send messages of encouragement or cards to help lift his spirits.
