ST.A Warrior Down, But Not Out: The Urgent Battle Inside Children’s Hospital.
Here is the story of Will’s journey, written with deep empathy, structured in short, impactful segments to honor his bravery and his family’s faith.

The Storm After the Silence
Yesterday, the world felt steady. Today, everything changed. A sudden, debilitating pain in Will’s right leg appeared out of nowhere, shattering the fragile peace of the weekend.
By last night, the discomfort had turned into an agonizing scream within his bones. It moved quickly, relentless and cruel, leaving no room for rest or relief.
This morning, our brave warrior reached his limit. Will, who has faced so much, could no longer stand. He couldn’t even walk to the restroom on his own.
Watching your child lose their independence in a matter of hours is a heartbreak beyond words. We contacted his oncology team immediately, knowing something was very wrong.
We have since been admitted to Children’s Hospital. The familiar smell of antiseptic and the hum of monitors have once again become our reality.
The medical team is working urgently. They are trying to establish an effective pain management plan to give Will’s exhausted body the rest it so desperately needs.

But beneath the mission to manage pain lies a haunting mystery. This pain feels like a thief in the night, stealing more than just his mobility.
In early December, Will’s PET scan was clear. Nothing in his right leg lit up. There were no signs of disease there just a few weeks ago.
That is the question that keeps us awake. If the scans were clear, where is this agony coming from? The uncertainty is a heavy, suffocating blanket.
Is this a new growth? Is it a complication we didn’t foresee? The “what ifs” threaten to drown out our hope if we let them.
X-rays have been completed. Now, we wait. We are caught in that agonizing limbo between the procedure and the doctor’s footsteps approaching the door.
While we wait, Will is finally resting peacefully. The medicine has finally dulled the edge of the pain, allowing him a moment of sacred, silent sleep.

In this quiet room, the weight of the past week feels immense. It has tested us in ways we never expected, pushing our spirits to the brink.
It feels as though we are walking through a dark valley. The shadows are long, and the path forward is hidden by the fog of medical jargon.
But even in the darkness, we are reaching for the light. Please pray for Jason and me as we sit in this hospital room today.
Pray that we remain steadfast in our faith. Pray that our hearts do not fail us when the fear tries to take root in our minds.
We are striving to continue trusting God’s plan. Even when that plan involves hospitals, needles, and unanswered questions, we choose to believe He is here.
Faith is not the absence of fear. It is the decision to keep walking even when your knees are trembling and the way is unclear.
This week has stripped us down to our core. It has reminded us that we are not in control, but we serve a God who is.
We are asking for your strongest prayers for Will. Pray that the pain eases completely and that his body finds the strength to recover once more.
Pray for the doctors. Ask for wisdom and clarity as they review the X-rays, that they may see exactly what is hidden beneath the surface.
We are waiting for a miracle. We have seen Will overcome so much before, and we know his spirit is stronger than any diagnosis or pain.
Keep fighting, Will. You are loved by so many, and your journey has touched hearts across the world. You are never alone in this.
We are standing guard while you sleep, holding onto the promise that joy comes in the morning. We are waiting for the breakthrough with you.
Thank you for being our village. Your prayers are the echoes that keep us going when our own voices grow weary in the middle of the night.
