SO. “I CAN PUSH THROUGH IT” — WILL ROBERTS, TOUGH AS NAILS!
Jason and I were headed home yesterday afternoon and before we could even make it, Will was already calling asking where we were… because he wanted to go fishing.

I asked how his back was. He said the meds just knocked him out, but the pain was still there. I told him he probably needed to rest it… and he said he wanted to go fishing anyway. Said he could push through it.
So we got home, loaded him up with his poles, and headed to a pond. Will and his friend Ben fished while I followed behind carrying a chair, crutches, tackle boxes… swatting mosquitos and secretly hoping for rain so I could say, “alright, load up!”
He never slowed down long enough to even sit. I finally gave up trying to keep up with him.
He pushed through pain and fished for 2 hours straight.
I swear… he’s tough as nails.
We ended the night at the river with friends grilling out and turned it into a little celebration for Cheerleading Charlie.
When I’m with Will it’s easier to feel a peace but when I’m away from him my mind fills with fear. My heart just needed to get back home yesterday.
Thank you all for the support. Thank you for lifting up Charlie as well. Thank each of you for all the encouragement for our family.
