Just when she needed a pick-me-up, a 15-year-old she could relate to popped his head into her hospital room.
None other than Will Roberts stopped by to say, “hello”.
Will was at Children’s of Alabama yesterday to get spotted for radiation and to continue his own immunotherapy.
Zoey Cleghorn is a 9-year-old from Addison, AL, and she has just finished her second chemo treatment.
Zoey received the diagnosis just a few weeks ago.
The news was shocking as doctors found a spot on Zoey’s right femur.
Doctors diagnosed Zoey with osteosarcoma, or bone cancer.
Bobby and Amy Cleghorn are of course worried about Zoey, but they are proud of their daughter, too.
Will Roberts is fighting the same cancer as Zoey, and he’s become an inspiration to other children fighting cancer what with his faith and positivity.
His visit to Zoey’s hospital room gave Zoey a boost and made Will feel really good, too.
Zoey hopes to be back to fishing and cheering and tumbling soon.
Like Will, Zoey loves the outdoors and hopes to get home soon.
