SAT. UPDATE: Signs of Progress for Injured Lineman Hunter Alexander

There’s cautious relief tonight in Hunter Alexander’s hospital room.
Earlier today, nurses changed the top layers of dressing on Hunter’s right hand after drainage was noted. Because the wound is being treated with Restarta Matrix powder, the inner dressing was carefully left in place — a promising sign in an already fragile recovery.
And the news everyone was hoping for: his hand looks good.
The fasciotomy incisions are healing well, and doctors are encouraged by how everything is holding up.
Post-surgical pain has been moderate but manageable, especially given the severity of his injuries — a small victory after everything his body has endured.

Then came a moment of unexpected comfort.
With help from Katie, a blow-up water basin, and a lot of determination, Hunter was able to get a proper shampoo — a simple act that felt anything but small. Clean hair, a little dignity restored, and a reminder that even in an ICU room, humanity finds a way through.
Where there’s a will, there’s a way.
And tonight, Hunter is proving he still has plenty of both. 💪
