SAT . UPDATE — A Peaceful Night, a House Full of Love, and Another Step Forward for Hunter

After weeks of uncertainty and exhausting days filled with worry, the night finally brought a moment of calm.
Hunter slept well — really well. He only woke once through the night, and most importantly, his pain remained manageable. For his family, that quiet stretch of rest felt like a gift. In a journey where every hour has mattered, a peaceful night is no small victory.
Morning came with warmth in more ways than one. Friends and family gathered around Hunter, filling the home with laughter, encouragement, and the unmistakable comfort of good Southern home-cooked food. The kind of food that says you’re not alone, that wraps around you like a hug and reminds you that community shows up when it matters most.
There was more good news, too.
Hunter’s right-hand dressing was changed, and doctors were pleased with how it’s looking. Each careful check brings cautious optimism — another sign that his body is fighting hard and responding step by step. Progress may be slow, but it is real.
The family also wants to share a special thank-you to Kevin Abbarno, retired SolPowerLines/Grid Equipment fleet administrator, for the handcrafted wooden sign. In moments like these, thoughtful gestures speak volumes, and this one will forever hold a place of meaning on Hunter’s road to recovery.
As this chapter closes, the journey is far from over. Hunter’s next surgery is scheduled for Monday morning and will be done as an outpatient procedure — another important step forward, another hurdle to cross with faith and determination.
Please continue to lift Hunter up in your prayers. Each message, each thought, each prayer has carried this family through the hardest days. One night of rest. One encouraging update. One step closer to healing.
