SAT. UPDATE: A Night of Rest, A Morning of Hope — Hunter’s Fight Continues

Last night brought something precious: rest.
After a difficult day marked by his wound vac repeatedly beeping, Hunter endured another round of adjustments from his wound care nurse. The process wasn’t easy. His pain levels rose as the device was worked on — another reminder that healing is rarely comfortable.
But when night came, relief followed.
His pain and sleep medications finally took hold, easing his discomfort and allowing him to drift into much-needed sleep. For a body that has fought so hard, even a few hours of steady rest is a quiet victory.
This morning delivered more encouraging news.

During wound care, doctors removed dead tissue from Hunter’s right hand — and what they found underneath was a powerful sign of progress. A clean, healthy wound bed. Strong granulating tissue. Living tissue doing exactly what it was designed to do: heal.
These are the moments doctors look for. The small but mighty indicators that the body hasn’t given up.
His next surgery remains scheduled for Tuesday, March 3. Another hurdle. Another step forward in this long journey.
Please continue to lift Hunter up in prayer — for steady healing, for reduced pain, for strength in the days ahead. Every procedure, every dressing change, every night of rest matters.
And today, there is hope.
