SAT . Tomorrow Is Hunter’s Sixth Surgery — And He’s Still Standing

Tomorrow morning, Hunter will be wheeled into surgery for the sixth time.

Six.

Just weeks ago, this young lineman nearly lost his life during a brutal ice storm. While trying to help others, Hunter suffered a devastating electrocution — the kind of accident that changes everything in an instant. What followed has been a relentless fight: an arterial bleed, emergency surgery, a wound vac, layers of bandages, finger exercises, and a level of pain no young man should ever have to measure in procedures.

And yet — somehow — Hunter is still holding on strong.

According to his dad, today brought a small but meaningful blessing.
“Hunter had a good night and good morning so far… right hand dressing changed and he’s just hanging out. Y’all continue to pray for healing and pain relief.”

Tomorrow’s surgery is scheduled first thing in the morning.

Hunter has been moved to the 10th floor, Room 41 — another stop on a journey that has demanded more courage than most of us will ever know. If you’ve been following his story, you know this hasn’t been a straight path forward. Every inch of progress has been fought for. Earned. Paid for in pain, patience, and perseverance.

Tonight, his family is asking for one thing: community.

They’re asking friends, strangers, prayer warriors — anyone who’s been touched by his story — to rally behind him. Flood him with messages he can read before they take him back once again. Remind him that he’s not fighting alone.

And for those who want to send a card:

Hunter Alexander
PO Box 23
Quitman, LA 71268

So what do you say to a young man heading into surgery number six…
A young man who just wants his hands back?

Maybe you tell him this:
You are seen. You are strong. And an entire community is holding you up when your body is tired of carrying the weight alone.
