SAT. Texas Boy Beats Leukemia — Then Gives Back in the Most Beautiful Way

Michael “MJ” Dixon of Killeen, Texas was just 8 years old when his life changed forever with a leukemia diagnosis. What followed were three long years of chemotherapy, hospital rooms, and treatments no child should have to endure.

MJ didn’t just fight — he endured.

Through standard chemotherapy and participation in a blinatumomab clinical study, MJ’s strength carried him to remission. In 2023, surrounded by doctors, nurses, and family at Baylor Scott & White Hospital, he rang the bell — the powerful moment every cancer family dreams of. Treatment complete.

But MJ wasn’t done making an impact.

On the very day he celebrated the end of his own battle, MJ showed up for others still fighting. He brought toys to children receiving care in the hospital, turning his victory into hope for kids who needed it most.

His story is more than a celebration. It’s a reminder that advances in pediatric cancer treatment are saving lives — and that courage can be contagious, even when it comes from someone so young.

Let’s send this incredible kid some love.
Congratulations, Michael “MJ” Dixon — your strength inspires far beyond Texas. 💙🎗️
