sat . Medical Update: Positive Strides for Jax Ahead of Chest Closure Procedure

Significant Cardiovascular Progress We are thrilled to share that Jax is doing really well today. Doctors have scheduled his chest closure procedure for this afternoon—a major milestone in his recovery journey.
His vital signs are looking very promising, allowing the medical team to come down significantly on his support medications:
- His Epinephrine has been weaned down to 0.03.
- He has been taken completely off Vasopressin.
While he is still relying on the external pacemaker, he has experienced very minimal arrhythmias, and all other key vitals remain stable and strong.
New Challenges: Infection and ICU Delirium Alongside the good news, there are hurdles to overcome. A recent urine culture indicated a likely Urinary Tract Infection (UTI). The team is acting fast: they are changing his catheter today, obtaining a new sample for re-verification, and have already started him on a broader-spectrum antibiotic. We ask for your prayers that this clears up quickly and effectively.
Currently, our biggest concern is that Jax is showing signs of ICU Delirium. He has struggled with this condition in the past, and it takes a heavy toll on him mentally and emotionally.
As we approach the phase of lifting sedation, we are bracing for a difficult process. Because of the delirium, weaning him off sedation is incredibly tricky. Jax tends to get very worked up and scared as he wakes, and it is heartbreaking for us to watch him in such distress without being able to do much to ease his fear.
A Note of Gratitude We are committed to taking this journey one step at a time. We want to express our deepest gratitude for every prayer, kind word, and gesture of support—they truly mean everything to us.
We will continue to keep you updated as soon as we know more about the outcome of today’s procedure.
