Late last night, Kylie was loaded onto a medical plane and flown from Washington, D.C. to Texas Children’s Hospital — the very place that once gave her new lungs and a second chance at life. For her family, returning there feels heavy with memory… and hope.
Then came a moment they weren’t expecting.
“Once we landed, Kylie perked up and was more like herself again,” her mom shared. After days of looking exhausted and unlike the child they know, Kylie smiled. She responded. She felt lighter. Her medical team believes high-dose steroids may finally be helping her breathing.
