SAT .Late-Night Hospital Update: Hunter Prepares for Surgery as Support Continues to Pour In

Before the night winds down, Hunter’s family shared one last update from the hospital — a reminder that healing is rarely linear.
This evening, Hunter experienced significant pain following a much-needed bath and hair washing. While the simple routine helped him feel cleaner and more comfortable, it also brought discomfort. He took his nighttime medications, and the family is asking for prayers that they bring him the relief he needs to rest.
Late tonight, doctors confirmed that Hunter is scheduled for surgery tomorrow, though the exact time has not yet been finalized. The procedure is expected to take place late morning, likely between 10 and 11 a.m. As a precaution, Hunter will be NPO after midnight.
At this time, it remains unclear when Hunter will be transferred from his current unit to a regular hospital room. That move could happen as early as tomorrow, depending on how the surgery and recovery unfold.

Despite the uncertainty and exhaustion, one thing remains constant — the overwhelming support surrounding Hunter.
“Thank you again to everyone for the texts, messages, and calls,” his family shared. “The love and encouragement Hunter has received have been truly amazing and more appreciated than words can say.”
Another update will be shared in the morning once more details about surgery are known. Until then, the family asks for continued prayers — especially that tomorrow’s tissue debridement is minimal and that Hunter finds comfort through the night.
Tonight, the hospital room is quiet.
The waiting continues.
And hope remains strong. 🙏💙
