SAT . “Jax Is Doing Better” — A Breath of Hope After Days in the ICU

There are moments in the ICU when good news doesn’t arrive loudly — it comes quietly, gently, and with a sense of relief that finally allows you to exhale.
Today is one of those moments.
Jax is doing better. 🤍
After everything his tiny body has endured, his family is now just one day away from being completely off Dex. Once Jax has been off the medication for 24 hours, doctors say he should be able to leave the ICU and move to the floor — a milestone that once felt impossibly far away.
Right now, Jax is on 6 liters of high-flow oxygen at 21%, the same oxygen level as normal room air. There is strong hope that he’ll be able to come off high flow within the next couple of days.
Even more encouraging: Jax hasn’t needed pacing support in some time, raising hopes that the pacing wires can be removed soon — another important step forward.

An echocardiogram today brought exactly the news everyone was hoping for: no changes. His heart is handling the new circulation well. It’s quiet news, but it means everything.
Jax is still uncomfortable, still adjusting, and understandably unhappy as his little body works hard to adapt. Watching that struggle is never easy. But his family believes that once he’s off high flow, his agitation will ease and comfort will finally follow.
These may sound like small steps — but after everything Jax has been through, they are monumental.
His family continues to feel the power of every prayer, every message, and every ounce of love sent their way.
🤍 Thank you for walking with Jax — and for carrying hope with him, every step of the way.
👉 If you’d like to send Jax a message of encouragement, now is the perfect time.
