SAT . Hunter remains in the hospital tonight — but this update feels very different from the one shared just days ago.

After the terrifying emergency earlier this week — when his arm suddenly began bleeding heavily, his blood pressure dropped, and he lost consciousness — things have stabilized.

According to his dad, Hunter had a good night.

He woke up around 3 a.m., but his pain level was manageable. His right hand dressing was changed, and the wound is looking good. There has been no new bleeding from his left arm. The wound vac is working as it should, with only a small amount of drainage.

Doctors have even started gentle stretching exercises in the fingers of his left hand — a small but meaningful step forward.

Yesterday, after elevated pain in the morning, the rest of the day settled down. Hunter got a haircut. Friends stopped by. Mail and gifts poured in.

His dad walked across the street to pick up chocolate milkshakes from their favorite spot — small, ordinary moments that don’t feel ordinary anymore.

His next surgery is still scheduled for Monday morning. The family is waiting on workers’ compensation decisions to determine how long this hospital stay will last.

But what matters most right now is this:

No new bleeding.
Strong pulses.
Rest.
Progress.

From near-electrocution…
to the ICU…
to home…
to emergency surgery…
and now back to steady healing.

This young lineman keeps fighting.

Leave a message Hunter can read as he prepares for another surgery on Monday.
What do you want him holding onto tonight?
