A family is facing another heartbreaking chapter as their young son, Hudson, battles intense pain and serious medical complications.
Hudson has been diagnosed with a broken right tibia and pneumonia, a difficult combination for such a small body to endure. His fever spiked to 102.4 degrees, prompting doctors to immediately begin antibiotics while awaiting the results of further lab work.
Despite the frightening circumstances, his family expressed deep gratitude for the emergency room team, describing them as “phenomenal” and thorough, carefully working to ensure nothing is overlooked.
Due to the severity of his condition and the pain he is experiencing, Hudson is being transferred to the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU). There, doctors will sedate him so his leg can be safely cast, while also closely monitoring his lungs and overall condition.
His loved ones are praying fervently — for pain relief, for the antibiotics to work swiftly and effectively, and for protection against dangerous complications such as blood clots or embolisms.
“Lord, You see Hudson’s tiny body and every place that hurts,” the family shared in a prayer. “You see the fracture. You see the infection. You see the fever. Bring relief quickly. Guard his lungs. Give the PICU team wisdom and steady hands.”
