SAT . Encouraging Update in Will’s Ongoing Cancer Battle

After extensive conversations with their oncology team and a careful review of Will’s scans from the past two days, the overall outlook brings cautious encouragement. Doctors report that his condition is mostly stable, especially when compared to how aggressive the disease appeared in December.
While one new spot on Will’s pelvis has been identified, it is now being reviewed by radiology to determine whether more targeted radiation may be effective. His family says they are prepared to face this new challenge head-on.
Perhaps the most significant update comes with long-awaited news on Will’s immunotherapy treatment. MEPACT — which had already received FDA pre-approval for Will due to the severity of his condition — has finally arrived in the United States after being on backorder from Europe for nearly three months. The treatment is currently being held as final FDA release is completed, and once cleared, Will will begin traveling to Children’s Hospital twice a week to start therapy.
The family expressed deep gratitude for a medical team that continues to push forward and fight alongside them. Surrounded by specialists at both Children’s Hospital and MD Anderson, they say they remain confident that every possible tool is being brought into this battle.
Though the road ahead is not easy, their goal remains unchanged: to keep moving forward, keep believing, and keep fighting for healing.
They thank everyone who continues to pray for Will and for standing beside their family through every step of this journey. With updates shared and spirits lifted, the family says they’re now looking forward to enjoying a much-needed weekend together. 💙
