sat . A Provider Now Fighting to Heal: Joshua’s Story

Joshua is 40 years old, and most mornings begin the same way — up early, heading to work, doing what he’s always done: taking care of the people who depend on him.

After the loss of his stepfather in December 2023, Joshua became a primary source of support for his disabled mother. He’s the steady one in the family. The one who shows up. The one others lean on when things fall apart.

But on January 15th, Joshua never made it to work.

Somewhere along Hickory Flat, his vehicle was involved in a serious crash, slamming head-on into a tree — possibly after he fell asleep at the wheel or was forced off the road. Hours passed with no word. No answers. His family spent the day in fear, not knowing where he was or what had happened.

It wasn’t until around midnight, after a missing person report was filed, that an officer located Joshua — finally bringing relief at the end of a terrifying day.

Joshua survived. But the road ahead is long.

He is currently recovering from his injuries and is unable to return to work. For a man who has spent so much of his life caring for others, this season looks painfully different.

As Joshua focuses on healing and rebuilding, his family asks for thoughts, prayers, and support. Sometimes, the strongest ones are the ones who need help the most. 💛
