SAT . A LITTLE GIRL. A TRAGIC ACCIDENT. A FAMILY HOLDING ONTO HOPE

A LITTLE GIRL. A TRAGIC ACCIDENT. A FAMILY HOLDING ONTO HOPE.

This is Kaliyah.

She is only three years old.
With bright, curious eyes. Soft curls framing her tiny face.
A smile that once carried pure joy — the kind that lights up a room without effort.

Today, that same little girl is fighting for her life.

Kaliyah was involved in a tragic accident at home. What should have been an ordinary moment turned into every parent’s worst nightmare. An accident in the bathtub caused Kaliyah to suffer a traumatic brain injury, changing everything in an instant.

She is now in critical condition at Christus Children’s Hospital in San Antonio, surrounded by doctors, machines, and the steady hum of life-saving equipment. Every breath matters. Every moment is fragile. Every update is waited for with hearts pounding and prayers whispered through tears.

Her family, from Pearsall, is living hour by hour — sometimes minute by minute.
There are no clear answers.
No guarantees.
Only an unbearable weight of fear mixed with a hope they refuse to let go of.

The pain is impossible to put into words. 💔
Watching a child endure something no child should ever have to face is a kind of suffering that reaches deep into the soul. And yet, in the middle of this darkness, Kaliyah’s family is holding onto faith — believing that she can feel how deeply she is loved.

Mandie, Kaliyah’s aunt, reached out with one simple but urgent request:
👉 Please ask everyone to pray.

Not for explanations.
Not for judgment.
Just prayer.

Pray hard.
Pray together.
Pray like only prayer warriors can.

Because when medicine has limits, prayer does not.
When words fail, prayer speaks.
When fear threatens to take over, prayer becomes the anchor.

No family should ever have to walk through this kind of terror.
No parent should ever have to wonder if today will be the day their world changes forever.
And no child should have to carry such unimaginable weight at only three years old.

Yet here they are — holding onto hope with trembling hands, believing that every prayer spoken for Kaliyah matters. That every whispered plea, every tearful “please God,” every shared post sends love where words cannot reach.

Tonight, tomorrow, and in the days ahead, Kaliyah needs more than silence.
She needs a community.
She needs faith.
She needs prayer.

🙏 Please pause. Please share. Please pray for Kaliyah.
Pray for healing.
Pray for strength for her doctors.
Pray for peace for her family as they wait through the longest hours of their lives.

Because sometimes, the strongest thing we can do —
is come together, lift a child’s name to heaven,
and believe that miracles are still possible.
