It’s been three months since 5-year-old Simon Meyer’s family received the call they had been praying for—a donor. After delays, setbacks, and even a donor backing out, Simon is finally preparing for his bone marrow transplant.
But the road here has been heartbreaking.
Six rounds of full-body radiation. Two a day. Three straight days.
After the first, Simon got sick six times and looked at his parents, confused: “I don’t know why I feel like this.”
At one point, he told the doctors he didn’t want to continue—not for himself, but because he was scared for his mom.

And still… he finished all six rounds.
While fighting this battle, his family packed up their entire life and moved into a new home—just days before transplant—trying to give him the safest place to return to. Everything they’ve done has been for him.
