SAT . 6-Year-Old Survives Vicious Dog Attack — And Still Dreams of a Puppy

This is Arron Vest, a 6-year-old from Clinton Township.

Over the weekend, Arron was attacked by a neighbor’s pit bull while giving a cat a treat. The dog bit him in the face, leaving injuries so severe doctors had to place more than 50 stitches to close the wounds.

His mother says he has now been released from the hospital and is recovering at home. He’s scheduled to return to doctors on Friday to have the stitches removed and to determine if further treatment will be needed.

But what’s stunning many people isn’t just the attack — it’s Arron’s spirit.

“Despite all this, Aaron still wants a puppy of his own,” his mother shared. “I told him if we raised enough, I would definitely get him one. Most six-year-olds would be terrified, I think — but not this one. He is only scared of that dog.”

Bruised but brave, Arron isn’t letting fear define him.

A GoFundMe has been established to help with medical expenses, and the link is in the comments for those who would like to support this resilient little fighter.
