sat . πŸ’™ UPDATE ON JAX: SMALL STEPS FORWARD, HOPE GROWING πŸ™

Last night brought both challenges and encouraging signs in Jax’s ongoing recovery. The medical team attempted to switch him to a different oxygen mask after noticing that his delicate skin was not tolerating the one on his face. However, Jax quickly made it clear that he did not approve of the change. In true Jax fashion, the team listened β€” and he was placed back on the original mask. He knows what he likes, and his voice continues to matter. πŸ’™

There is good news to share. Doctors were able to wean down some of his oxygen settings, an important step forward. If progress continues, the team is hopeful that within the next 24–48 hours, Jax may be able to transition back to high-flow oxygen through his nose instead of the mask.

Further encouraging signs came from his latest chest X-ray, which looks much improved. His lung sounds are clearer, offering reassurance that his body is responding and that he is truly moving in the right direction.

Another significant step was taken when the team turned off Jax’s propofol. While this is an important milestone, it has not been easy. Jax has been uncomfortable and has cried at times β€” a heartbreaking sound for those who love him, especially hearing it muffled behind the mask. The family remains hopeful that his little body will gradually adjust and find calm as time goes on.

The family is asking for continued prayers β€” for peace and comfort as sedation and pain medications are carefully reduced, for Jax’s body to keep healing, and for deep, restorative rest. Above all, they pray that he feels surrounded by love and comfort, even in the midst of this difficult process.

πŸ’™ Thank you to everyone who continues to walk this road with Jax and love him so fiercely. Every prayer, every word of encouragement, and every shared hope makes a difference. πŸ™
