sat . 💔 We arrived with hope… but left with a heartbreak beyond words.

When we brought Pumpkin to the veterinary clinic, everything happened so fast we could barely process it. A team of four staff members quickly carried Pumpkin away to begin treatment while we were taken into a consultation room.

Less than two minutes later, a vet knocked on the door. Through the door, I heard the words that shattered my heart: “She’s in cardiac arrest.”

I screamed, begging to see Pumpkin, but they told me 15 medical staff were working on her, doing everything they could to save her, and that I had to wait.

Those minutes felt endless.

After about 25 minutes, the specialist returned and told us that Pumpkin had started breathing again, and we could go in to see her. When we entered the room, it was filled with doctors and specialists. Wires were everywhere as they helped her breathe and fought to keep her alive.

I held Pumpkin in my arms. Her heart rate was very weak, slow and irregular. Her pulse kept stopping and starting.

The doctors gently told us that she most likely had severe brain damage, and her lungs were filled with fluid. They had done everything possible.

Then we were faced with the most painful decision.

We said goodbye to our sweet Pumpkin… through tears.

💔 Our hearts are shattered.
A small soul full of love is gone, leaving a space that can never be filled.

Rest peacefully, Pumpkin. You will always be loved. 🩷🐾
