sat . 💔 A HEAVY UPDATE FROM PINSON, AL: Jaxen’s Fight Reaches a Painful Turning Point

Many of you have been asking for an update on 10-year-old Jaxen of Pinson, Alabama — and today’s news is one no family is ever prepared to share.
Jaxen, who is autistic and non-verbal, has been bravely fighting adrenal gland cancer for years. Since relapsing in 2023, his life has been marked by long hospital stays and repeated returns to Children’s of Alabama, where doctors have done everything possible to help his small body endure an enormous battle.
This week, Jaxen and his mother, Randa Ragland, were once again in the hospital as doctors reviewed his latest scans. The update she shared is heartbreaking. Physicians have discovered another spot on Jaxen’s lung and are now deeply concerned about possible spots on his brain. After careful consideration, doctors have made the devastating decision to stop treatment, explaining that his body can no longer tolerate it.
“We’re getting close to the end,” Randa shared quietly.
In the midst of unimaginable pain, her words reflect both sorrow and faith. “I don’t understand God on this one,” she said, “but I know it’s not for me to understand.”
There is no easy way to frame this update. There is little good news to hold onto — except this: when good people are hurting, good people show up. Jaxen’s family now needs love, prayers, and support more than ever.
Please take a moment to lift Jaxen and Randa in your thoughts and prayers. Your kindness, compassion, and messages mean more than words can express during these final, sacred moments.
