LDL. Finding Joy Amidst the Fight: Will Roberts’ Day with Family
Even in the midst of ongoing cancer treatments, 14-year-old Will Roberts is finding ways to do what he loves most — and his family is right there with him.
Today, Will spent the day hunting, a favorite activity that brings him joy and a sense of normalcy. Later, he convinced his grandmother and aunt to stay overnight, insisting they all watch scary movies together. The Roberts family is now cozy in the living room, piled up together, sharing laughter, love, and the warmth of family bonds.
While today is full of happy moments, tomorrow brings another step in Will’s fight. He will be at Children’s of Alabama for clinic appointments and an MRI on his back to check the area near his spine. These appointments are part of ongoing monitoring and treatment, as the family remains vigilant in protecting Will’s health.
Despite the challenges, his parents, Jason and Brittney, continue to celebrate the small joys — the moments where Will’s spirit shines brightest. Family time, shared laughter, and love remind them why every step of this journey matters.
The Roberts family continues to ask for prayers for comfort, peace, and strength for Will as he faces both the routine and the uncertainties of treatment.
