LDL. Tragic ATV Accident Claims Lives of Pregnant Mother and Unborn Son in Houston
Houston, TX — A family is facing unimaginable loss after a tragic ATV accident near Greens Bayou off E. Mt. Houston. What began as a birthday celebration quickly turned into a devastating scene, leaving multiple family members injured and two lives lost.
Twenty-two-year-old Jasmine Corral, who was pregnant at the time, was riding an ATV when the vehicle struck an unseen sinkhole. The impact caused the ATV to roll violently, throwing passengers and leaving the scene chaotic. Jasmine did not survive the crash. Her unborn son, Javin, was delivered by emergency C-section but lived only a few precious hours before succumbing to his injuries.
Jasmine leaves behind her 2-year-old son, Julian, now grappling with the loss of his mother and baby brother. Javin’s father, who was recently deported, is grieving from afar, unable to be at his child’s side in those final moments.
The accident also inflicted serious injuries on other family members. Jasmine’s mother, Maria Corral, remains in the ICU with ruptured organs, facial trauma, and a fractured neck. Her aunt, Juanita Medina, suffered a fractured back, broken ribs, a broken leg, and severe facial injuries. Little Julian also sustained injuries and is struggling to understand the sudden loss and chaos surrounding him.
Family members are now reaching out for support, asking for prayers and donations to help cover funeral expenses for Jasmine and Javin. Friends and community members are rallying to provide emotional and financial support during this heartbreaking time.
“This is a tragedy no family should have to endure,” said Angelica, Jasmine’s sister. “We ask for your prayers, love, and support as we navigate this unimaginable loss.”
Authorities continue to investigate the circumstances of the crash, highlighting the dangers of hidden obstacles on off-road paths.
The Corral family faces a long road to recovery, both physically and emotionally, as they try to process the devastating events of that day.
