LDL. Through the Night: Hunter’s Pain, His Strength, and a Family’s Unshaken Faith
In the quiet hours of the morning, while most of the world was still asleep, Hunter’s journey took another difficult turn.
At 2:00 a.m., he was transferred from the Intensive Care Unit to the 8th floor, Room G8-3. Though this move was a sign of medical progress, the physical toll was heavy. He slept well early in the night, but the wheelchair transfer and settling into a new bed caused his pain to rise sharply.
Even rest has become a battle.
Doctors and family members are now working to confirm the timing of Hunter’s next procedure — an irrigation and debridement surgery that will help clean and protect his wounds. Initially scheduled for 11:00 a.m., hospital records now show 6:25 p.m., creating hours of anxious waiting.
The uncertainty is difficult.
The pain is exhausting.
But the fight continues.
Hunter’s left arm and hand remain the most painful areas. The wound vacuum device is still drawing a moderate amount of drainage, showing how serious the injury remains. Despite medication, the pain has kept his blood pressure elevated, requiring doctors to begin BP treatment.
He has taken his pain medication along with his other prescribed meds, doing everything possible to stay strong as his body heals.
Yet in the middle of exhaustion, fear, and discomfort, there is still faith.
His family continues to ask for prayers — for healing, for relief, and for strength through each long hour. They hold tightly to hope, believing that every small step forward is guided by something greater than themselves.
Hunter’s journey is far from over, but even in the darkness of the night, he continues to fight — one breath, one step, one prayer at a time.
