LDL. Three Missing Teens in One Week: Bexar County Families Plead for Answers

San Antonio, Texas — Fear and heartbreak have gripped Bexar County after three teenage girls disappeared within days of one another, all from the same general area of San Antonio. Authorities and families are now desperately searching for answers — and praying for safe returns.

The first disappearance occurred early on Christmas Eve morning when 19-year-old Camila Mendoza Olmos vanished after what was believed to be a routine walk near her home. Her phone was later found inside the house — a detail her family says is completely out of character. Investigators believe she may be in imminent danger and have not ruled out possibilities including trafficking, self-harm, or abduction.

Just one day later, on Christmas Day, the Bexar County Sheriff’s Office issued an alert for 17-year-old Angelique Johnson, last seen near Potranco Road. Authorities believe she may still have her phone, but efforts to trace her location have so far been unsuccessful. Her loved ones describe her as kind, creative, and deeply missed at home.

Then, only days later, another report shook the community: 14-year-old Sofia Gabriela Peters-Cobos disappeared on Monday evening after leaving her home near Landon Ridge and Potranco Road around 7 p.m. She hasn’t been seen since. Law enforcement released an enhanced image to help the public recognize her more easily.

Three missing teens. One county. One week.
Residents are calling the pattern alarming — and officials agree it’s far from normal. Sheriff’s deputies have confirmed that special units are working around the clock, following every lead and coordinating with Texas state and national agencies.

The families of all three girls are pleading for the community’s help. Candlelight vigils are being organized, posters are going up across the county, and social-media campaigns are spreading their photos in hopes that someone, somewhere, recognizes them.

“We just need to know they’re safe,” said one relative of Angelique. “If you’ve seen anything, please — say something.”

Authorities urge anyone with information to contact the Bexar County Sheriff’s Office immediately at 210-335-6000, or to call 911 in case of an emergency.

As the new year begins, Bexar County stands united in one plea — bring these girls home. 🙏
