LDL. Teen Cancer Warrior Lulu Ivy Continues Her Courageous Fight

Lulu Ivy, 19, has been battling osteosarcoma, an aggressive form of bone cancer, for over six years. First diagnosed at the age of 13, Lulu has faced every challenge with determination, resilience, and an unbreakable spirit.

Over the years, Lulu has endured countless treatments, including surgery to remove her pelvic bone in 2020, as well as extensive rounds of chemotherapy and radiation. Despite these hardships, she graduated from Hillcrest High School in Tuscaloosa in May 2025, a testament to her strength and perseverance.

However, Lulu’s fight is far from over. About a year ago, doctors discovered that the cancer had returned and metastasized. Tumors have formed around her spinal cord, making surgery impossible. Undeterred, Lulu has continued her treatment, recently completing 15 rounds of radiation and preparing to start another round of chemotherapy. She is also scheduled to return to MD Anderson in Houston next month for check-ups and scans.

Outside of her medical battles, Lulu remains a bright and passionate young woman. She loves Taylor Swift, collects vinyl records, enjoys the WWE, and is a Marvel Comics fan. Her family says that despite the severity of her condition, her spirit and sense of humor remain intact, inspiring everyone around her.

Lulu’s mother, Kay Ivy, asks for continued prayers and support as Lulu faces the next stage of treatment. “She is incredibly brave,” Kay says. “We just hope people will continue to send her encouragement—it truly lifts her spirits.”

Lulu Ivy’s journey reminds us of the extraordinary courage of young people facing life-threatening illness. Every word of support, every prayer, and every positive thought matters.
