LDL. HOPEFUL SIGNS AS JAX CONTINUES HIS FIGHT FOR HEALING
There are encouraging signs of progress in young Jax’s ongoing medical journey, offering renewed hope to those following his story.
Last night, Jax’s care team attempted to switch him to a different oxygen mask after noticing that his sensitive skin was not tolerating the one currently in use. Jax made his feelings about the change very clear, and the decision was made to return to the original mask—an endearing reminder of his strong spirit and awareness, even in the midst of intensive care.
Medical updates from the family indicate meaningful improvement. Doctors were able to reduce some of Jax’s oxygen settings, and there is growing hope that within the next 24 to 48 hours, he may transition back to high-flow oxygen delivered through a nasal cannula. His latest chest X-ray shows notable improvement, and his lung sounds are clearer, signaling positive movement in his recovery.
Another significant step came with the discontinuation of propofol, a sedative medication. While this has led to moments of discomfort and tears for Jax—an especially difficult experience for his family to witness—it is an important part of the healing process. His care team is carefully monitoring him as his body adjusts.
The family continues to ask for prayers for peace and comfort as Jax is gradually weaned from sedation and pain medications. They also request continued prayers for healing, restful sleep, and protection as his recovery progresses.
Despite the challenges, Jax’s strength remains evident, and each small step forward is being met with gratitude and hope. His family expresses heartfelt thanks to everyone who has supported them with prayers, messages, and love throughout this journey.
They say that knowing so many people are walking this road alongside them has made an immeasurable difference.
