LDL. Daisy Farley: A Journey of Faith, Courage, and New Beginnings

Daisy Farley, a 19-year-old from Irving, Texas, is over the moon today — she is set to receive her final chemotherapy treatment after seven long months of fighting an aggressive brain tumor. Despite being told she had only a 30% chance to survive, Daisy’s faith, courage, and countless “Godwinks” have carried her through.
Her journey began last April when, as a college freshman, severe headaches led to an MRI. By Good Friday, the tumor was discovered. Daisy underwent surgery at Baylor Scott & White Medical Center in Grapevine, Texas, on April 22nd, 2025. The diagnosis was daunting: Medulloblastoma SHH-TP-53 Mutant with MYCN amplification & LCA, alongside Mosaic Li-Fraumeni Syndrome — aggressive, high-risk conditions.
Yet Daisy never lost hope. With her favorite prayer blanket and stuffed animal “Sugar” by her side, she faced 30 rounds of proton therapy, fertility treatments, and four rounds of strong chemotherapy, all while leaning on faith and prayer.
Throughout her battle, Daisy experienced multiple signs — or Godwinks — that strengthened her spirit. From a stranger assuring her “You are healed” to a pastor telling her, “This is a new beginning for you,” Daisy felt God’s presence guiding her. “Whether I live or die, I’ll be OK,” Daisy whispered. “Because I win either way.”
She will have follow-up MRIs and a lumbar puncture on December 17th and 18th to ensure everything is clear. If all goes well, she hopes to be home in time for Christmas. Daisy faces five years of check-ups, but her hope, faith, and courage remain unwavering.
Her story is a powerful reminder of resilience, hope, and the comfort of faith during life’s greatest trials. Please keep Daisy and her family in your prayers as she continues this journey.
