LDL. Community Rallies Around 14-Year-Old Will Roberts Battling Bone Cancer
Tuscaloosa, AL — Fourteen-year-old Will Roberts continues his fight against bone cancer, a battle that has left his family facing constant uncertainty. Recent medical tests revealed progression of the disease, and complications have made Will’s condition increasingly unpredictable.
Despite these challenges, the community has found a way to bring hope and joy to Will. A Christian organization, alongside members of the local fishing community, organized a fundraiser to fulfill one of Will’s biggest dreams — gifting him a professional bass boat. For Will, a passionate young angler, this boat represents a rare moment of excitement and normalcy amid a difficult and painful treatment journey.
Will’s parents, Jason and Brittney Roberts, shared their gratitude for the support. “This community has shown us what love looks like,” Brittney said. “Even in the middle of a battle we never expected to face, people have brought light and encouragement to our son.”
While Will continues to undergo treatments and face ongoing health complications, his family hopes that small moments like this can provide comfort and strength. Friends, neighbors, and the broader public are encouraged to continue lifting Will in prayer, and to share messages of hope and encouragement for the young teen navigating one of life’s toughest battles.
