LDL. Brantley Simpson Shows Remarkable Progress After ATV Accident

Elrod, AL – Just three weeks after a serious ATV accident, 13-year-old Brantley Simpson of Elrod is showing remarkable signs of recovery. The 8th grader at Sipsey Valley Middle School, and a friend and classmate of Will Roberts, suffered skull fractures, facial fractures, and a brain bleed on December 23rd, leaving him unconscious and on a ventilator for several days.

Brantley’s mother, Kasey Simpson, shared an update yesterday, expressing relief and gratitude. “He’s doing so much better,” she said. “He’s off the ventilator, walking, talking, and eating. He’s joking with the family and telling us he wants to go home.”

Doctors at Children’s of Alabama continue to monitor Brantley’s recovery, ensuring his blood thinners and other treatments are on track. The medical team hopes to release him home in the coming days, where he can continue regaining his strength.

Brantley’s story is a reminder of resilience and hope. Family, friends, and community members have rallied around the young student, sending prayers and support during his recovery.

“Every step he takes forward is a miracle,” Kasey added. “We are so thankful to the doctors, nurses, and everyone who has cared for Brantley during this difficult time.”

As Brantley prepares to return home, the Simpson family encourages everyone to continue sending positive thoughts and prayers for the young boy’s full recovery.
