LDL. A Quiet Goodnight from the ICU: Hunter Ends the Day with Hope

Good evening, everyone.
We’re wrapping up a long day here with a bit of calm after the storm. Hunter got a much-needed treat tonight — Wingstop delivered straight to the hospital room, courtesy of the incredible nurses who’ve become like family. He ate a full meal, watched some TV, and for a little while, things felt almost normal.

Pain level is holding steady at 5–6 tonight — still tough, but manageable with the meds. The wound vac is pulling moderate drainage, which the team says is expected at this stage. They’re continuing the hourly Doppler checks on his ulnar pulse through the night to make sure circulation stays strong in both arms. That means sleep will be light (or non-existent) for the family again — but everyone is hanging in there.
Hunter wanted to say a quick goodnight to all of you: “Goodnight y’all — thank you for everything.”
His spirit is still so strong. Even on rough days, he finds ways to smile, crack a joke, or thank the people around him. That’s Hunter — the same guy who ran toward danger so others could be safe, now fighting just as hard to keep his own arms and his own future.

We’re not out of the woods yet. The next 24–48 hours remain critical as the medical team watches closely for any changes in blood flow, tissue response, or infection risk. Every hour counts. Every prayer matters.
From the bottom of our hearts — thank you. Thank you for the messages, the shares, the donations, the candles lit, the good thoughts sent our way. You’ve carried us further than you know.
We’ll update again tomorrow with whatever news the doctors give us. Until then, please keep Hunter in your prayers tonight — for rest, for strength, for healing, and for the peace that passes understanding.

Goodnight, Hunter. We love you. We’re still right here with you — every heartbeat, every hour, every hope.
Rest as well as you can, brother. We’ll see you in the morning.
