LDL. Remembering Adrian: A Young Texans Fan Whose Wish Never Came True
Houston, TX — Adrian’s wish was simple, yet it held a lifetime of hope and excitement. All he wanted was to attend his very first Houston Texans game — a dream he talked about constantly.
For years, hospital stays and ICU rooms kept standing in the way. But when Make-A-Wish called earlier this year, Adrian’s mom, Vivi, knew exactly what to ask for: a Texans game. It was a chance for her son to experience the joy he longed for, a moment that would make all the hardship worthwhile.
Tragically, Adrian’s journey was cut short. In August, he was admitted to the ICU and never returned home. On September 12, Adrian passed away, leaving a hole in the hearts of his family and everyone who knew him.
His funeral reflected the love he had for the team. Adrian was laid to rest in Texans blue, wearing his favorite Nico Collins #12 jersey — a testament to how deeply the team meant to him.
Now, as his birthday approaches on December 21 — coinciding with a home game for the Texans — Vivi asks for a simple gesture: help honor her son’s memory. She hopes the team and community will remember Adrian, celebrate his passion, and acknowledge the wish he never got to fulfill.
“Even if he’s watching from heaven, I want people to know his name,” Vivi said. “I want his wish remembered.”
If Adrian’s story touches your heart, consider sharing it. A small act could ensure his love for football and his dream are never forgotten. And if you could offer a word of comfort to Vivi on Adrian’s birthday, what would it be?
💔🏈
