LD. π¨ UPDATE: HUNTER IS OUT OF SURGERY β ONE STEP AT A TIME π¨ .LD

Hunter is out of surgery. The orthopedic team performed fasciotomies on both arms, with more extensive surgery on the left arm. Doctors confirmed he had compartment syndrome in both hands β a serious, limb-threatening condition.
During surgery, necrotic (dead) tissue was removed from his hands, mainly at the base of the thumb. Some muscle had to be removed, including a small portion from the left forearm.
β‘οΈ No amputations were done today.
His wounds were left open and fitted with wound vacs to help remove toxins and control drainage. Another debridement surgery is likely in about two days. At this point, itβs still too early to know whether amputations will be necessary.
It truly is one day at a time β and one prayer at a time. π
π 4:30 PM UPDATE:
Hunter is back in his room in the surgical ICU. He remains intubated but is responsive β he tried to talk and is clearly alert. Heβs breathing partially on his own, and once he can sustain that fully, doctors will remove the breathing tube.
He was following commands, his vital signs are stable, and the team is watching him closely. His agitation is understandable β he wants the tube out and his hands untied β which is actually a positive sign of awareness and strength.
The next visitation is at 8:00 PM, and another update will follow.
Hunter has a long road ahead β skin grafts, additional procedures, and intensive therapy β but he is an overcomer.
Thank you all for the prayers, messages, and unwavering support. Please keep them coming. ππ
