LDL. Meet Callie Pittman: A 4-Year-Old Battling Leukemia with Courage and Joy
Callie Pittman, just 4-and-a-half years old, has already shown the world what it means to fight with courage and joy. Diagnosed nearly two years ago with B-Cell Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia at the age of 2-and-a-half, Callie has faced an incredible journey — and she’s winning hearts along the way.
Callie loves playing dress-up with her little sister Kaycie, riding scooters, watching her favorite shows like Bluey, and eating spaghetti every single day, according to her mom, Jessica.
After following her treatment faithfully, Callie faced a setback eight weeks ago when she relapsed. Undeterred, she returned to chemotherapy, spreading faith, hope, and smiles instead of fear.
Now, after 36 consecutive days of chemo, Callie has received her latest biopsy results: all scans are clear — she is cancer-free once again.
While her Christmas may be spent in the hospital, Callie is ready for the next stage of her treatment. She will begin pre-bone marrow transplant chemo on December 15, with the transplant planned for December 23.
Her family — parents Bailey and Jessica, and sister Kaycie — remain inspired by Callie’s bravery. “There’s something about Callie,” they say, “something the world can embrace.”
Callie’s story is a testament to resilience, love, and hope, reminding us that even in the toughest battles, joy and courage can shine through.
