SAT . BREAKING: REPUBLICANS IN DISARRAY! Mike Johnson gets publicly backstabbed by his own deputy as Elise Stefanik trashes him for being a weak leader who is losing control over his own caucus!

To say that things have been rough for Mike Johnson lately is an understatement. Going from the shutdown straight into a caucus revolt over the Epstein files to the devastating defeats on Election Day into last night’s double-digit Democratic overperformance in the special election for TN-7 has been seriously taxing of the Speaker’s nonexistent political chops. Now his own right-hand woman is publicly calling him out for his weak leadership.

Elise Stefanik told the Wall Street Journal that Mike Johnson’s leadership was on thin ice. “He certainly wouldn’t have the votes to be speaker if there was a roll-call vote tomorrow. I believe that the majority of Republicans would vote for new leadership. It’s that widespread…Mike Johnson is a political novice and, boy, does it show…”

Stefanik has a personal axe to grind against Johnson, who she blames for tanking her nomination to be Trump’s UN Ambassador in order to protect his majority. She’s now furious at him for getting “rolled” by the Democrats by allowing them to remove a provision in the must-pass NDAA defense bill she wanted, writing on Twitter that “It is a scandalous disgrace that Republicans are allowing themselves to be rolled by the Dems and deep state on this.”

Mike Johnson has presided over one of the least productive Congresses in US history, and it looks like he’s not going to get another chance to try to change that.

May he be the last Republican House Speaker to ever misguide this once great nation.
