SAT . A Big Step Forward – And a Small Hope Growing Stronger

Yesterday, we finally made it to CIRU for inpatient rehab at Scottish Rite. The transfer, getting settled in, and a full day of evaluations left both of us completely exhausted.
But in the middle of that exhaustion… there is hope.
We are truly so grateful to be here. This isn’t just another stop along the way—it’s a huge step in the right direction. It feels like all the effort, all the difficult days behind us, are leading somewhere meaningful. We still have a long road ahead, but at least now we know we’re moving forward.
We continue to ask for your prayers. The process of weaning off the medications is slow and delicate. There are moments when Hudson experiences withdrawal symptoms, and watching him go through that is incredibly hard. But we know this is part of the journey—part of what will help him truly heal.
And in the middle of all these big moments, there’s something small… but deeply comforting.
Tonight is the first Braves game of the season. Hudson is taking a nap, holding onto one simple hope: to wake up in time for the 7:15 start.
Sometimes, it’s these little things that give us the greatest strength.
A game.
A nap.
A quiet hope.
And a little boy, fighting every day to find his way back to normal life.
