SAT . 🚨 BREAKING — Six U.S. service members killed in KC-135 crash during mission linked to Iran conflict identified

A tragic accident has claimed the lives of six U.S. military personnel after a Boeing KC-135 Stratotanker crashed while carrying out a refueling mission over western Iraq on March 12.

U.S. officials have now confirmed the identities of the six airmen who lost their lives in the crash:

  • Maj. John A. Klinner, 33
  • Capt. Ariana G. Savino, 31
  • Tech. Sgt. Ashley B. Pruitt, 34
  • Capt. Seth R. Koval, 38
  • Capt. Curtis J. Angst, 30
  • Tech. Sgt. Tyler H. Simmons, 28

The aircraft went down in friendly airspace while supporting ongoing military operations connected to tensions involving Iran. Authorities say the cause of the crash is still under investigation.

Three of the fallen airmen were assigned to MacDill Air Force Base, while the other three served with the 121st Air Refueling Wing of the Ohio Air National Guard.

Each of them leaves behind grieving families, friends, and communities who will forever remember their service and sacrifice.
