TST. 10 HOURS ON THE ROAD FOR A FEW MOMENTS OF LOVE

he makes the nearly 5-hour drive almost every week.
It’s 330 miles from Daphne, AL to the Shepherd Center in Atlanta, and it’s all good with high school senior Mary Claire McTaggert.
For the Daphne High School student only wants a few hours with the teenager she loves.
Just a few hours before driving 5 hours back to Daphne.
It’s been over 4 months since 2025 Daphne High School grad Cleighton Strickland suffered a traumatic brain injury in a car accident.
It’s been months that Mary Claire has traveled (often with family mrmbers) to see Cleighton and do what she can to bring him back.
Mary Claire will graduate from Daphne High School in May- she had big plans and big dreams for she and Cleighton, and she still does.
This picture was taken yesterday by
Cleighton’s mother Amy as Mary Claire walked into Cleighton’s room at the Shepherd Center.
Mary Claire didn’t stay long, as doctors tended to Cleighton.
The couple soaked up every minute, wishing that time stood still.
Before it was time for Mary Claire to make the 5-hour drive home.
