SO. URGENT: 15-YEAR-OLD DOMINIQUE JADE SMITH MISSING FROM EAGLE RIVER, AK!

15-year-old Dominique Jade Smith has been missing since March 1, 2026 from Eagle River in Anchorage, Alaska, the Anchorage Police Department confirmed. Laureli Ivanoff, an Inupiaq and Yup’ik Native writer from the Anchorage community, expressed her concerns in an important article written in the Anchorage Daily News titled, “Anchorage is failing Alaska Native women who go missing.”
Laureli said, “What concerns me is there is no public database where I can find a list of people currently missing in this community.” While there is a national database, local police are not required by law to run a public missing-persons database. Many times, people right in the community have no idea that children are missing, especially if it isn’t on their local news stations. This needs to change.
Every missing child deserves attention. We’re sharing Dominique’s story to help elevate her case to the national level. Anyone with information is urged to contact the Anchorage Police Department at 1-907-786-8900 or the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children at 1-800-843-5678.
