STT. A Strange Encounter at the Hospital: The Mysterious Woman and the Money Given to Hunter
Yesterday, I had a very special experience at the hospital that I wanted to share.
Last night, I left the ICU hallway and waited for the elevator to go to the first floor. When the elevator doors opened and I stepped in, a woman followed me in. I was on the phone at the time, and she gently asked if my name was Daren. I hung up and answered her.
She said she was looking for someone named Hunter, and had been told he was on floor 4J, but she didn’t know where that was. When she looked up, I was standing right there. She offered me some money and said she intended to find Hunter to give it to him, but didn’t know if I could accept it and give it to him.

I stood there, surprised and at a loss. She didn’t ask my full name, didn’t call Hunter by his last name, as if she already knew who we were. I thought for a moment and wondered if she had seen Hunter in previous posts, but it still felt strange that she didn’t ask for our last names.
She gave me the money and said she felt compelled to give it to Hunter.
When the elevator doors opened and she stepped out, she walked toward the hallway leading to the hospital’s main entrance. When she was about 15 steps away from me, I called out to her and asked her name. She replied that she didn’t want any social media posts, because she wasn’t doing this for that reason… she simply felt she had to give the money to Hunter. Then she said her name was “Lyndsey.”

I asked if I could give her a hug, and when I hugged her, I thanked her again for the money. I turned around and walked a few steps forward in the hospital, then realized I had gone up to the second floor instead of the first. When I turned back, she was gone, as if she had vanished into thin air.
Note that we were standing in the middle of the hallway – right in the center, at least 50-60 yards from the end, and there was no one else in the hallway, no one in the elevator, no elevator doors opening or closing. From the moment I hugged her until I turned around after taking two steps, only about 2 seconds had passed. And then, she was gone. I stood there, still holding a considerable amount of money, looking around but seeing no one else.

When she stepped out of the elevator, she headed north, but after we hugged, she turned around and headed south while I was heading north. She wasn’t wearing a hospital staff uniform or a name tag like the other staff members.
I continued down the hallway, and if I hadn’t had a folded wad of cash in my hand, I would have certainly thought I was imagining all of this.
I’ve never met this woman before, and she’s disappeared. There’s no way she could have gone so far away from me without me seeing her!

I’m sharing this story because I truly feel that God brought her here. I’ve never experienced anything like this before, and I’ve thought a lot about whether or not to post this. I think there’s someone else who needs to hear this story… God is still answering prayers, and maybe this is just the affirmation I needed. I hope someone else can also receive blessings from this story.
It was definitely a magical moment that I will never forget.
