LDL. Seven-year-old Finley Edwards from Gadsden, Alabama, needs every bit of strength and support right now.

Seven-year-old Finley Edwards of Gadsden, Alabama, is facing an incredibly critical stretch in her fight against leukemia.

Finley was diagnosed with B-Cell Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (B-ALL) on February 27, 2025, after weeks of persistent headaches led to further testing. She began chemotherapy the very next day. She is currently receiving treatment at Children’s of Alabama, where she has remained hospitalized since early February.

Right now, Finley is battling serious complications related to intensive cancer treatment, including:

• Persistent fevers
• Low oxygen levels
• Pancreatitis (inflammation of the pancreas)

She is on a ventilator as doctors work to stabilize her breathing and determine the source of her recent decline. Her medical team is conducting additional testing and adjusting her treatment plan carefully as they search for answers.

B-ALL is the most common childhood leukemia. Survival rates have improved significantly over the years thanks to modern therapies. However, the treatment process is long and physically demanding. Chemotherapy can weaken the immune system and increase the risk of infection, organ inflammation, and respiratory complications — all of which require close monitoring and rapid intervention.

Finley’s parents, Becca and Adam, are walking through this frightening chapter while also caring for their four other young children. The journey has already required immense strength, and this moment is especially heavy.

Please keep Finley in your thoughts and prayers:

• For stabilized breathing and strong oxygen levels
• For relief from infection and inflammation
• For clear, guiding answers from ongoing tests
• For endurance, courage, and peace for her family

In situations like this, steady support, compassion, and hope truly matter. 💛
