LDL. Seven Surgeries. One Unbreakable Spirit.
Tomorrow marks another significant milestone in Hunter’s recovery. It will be his seventh surgery.
Seven surgeries — a number that in itself speaks volumes about the incredible strength and resilience that this young lineman has shown since his life was changed forever.
Just weeks ago, Hunter’s life hung by a thread after he was electrocuted during an ice storm while trying to help others.
What should have been a regular winter day took a terrifying and tragic turn.
In an instant, everything Hunter had known about his daily life was shattered. He wasn’t thinking about his own safety, but rather about helping others during the storm.
That selfless act of heroism cost him dearly, but it also revealed just how strong and determined he truly is.
After the electrocution came a host of other challenges. An arterial bleed required emergency surgery.
There were endless dressing changes, wound vacs, bandages, and finger exercises to help him regain movement and strength.
Pain that no one should ever have to endure became part of his reality.

And yet, despite all of this, Hunter has kept pushing forward, one step at a time.
He’s shown more courage and strength than anyone could have ever expected.
As his dad said just a short time ago, “Hunter had a good night and good morning so far… right hand dressing changed, and he’s just hanging out.”
Through all the surgeries and recovery, Hunter has found moments of calm and peace.
Tomorrow’s surgery, however, marks another chapter in his ongoing fight.
Seven surgeries into his journey, and there is still much work ahead.
But each surgery, each procedure, and each moment of healing is a victory.
Hunter’s recovery hasn’t been linear. There have been setbacks, there have been days of doubt, but there have also been triumphs. Triumphs that no one, including Hunter himself, thought would come so soon.
Tomorrow’s surgery will be the seventh one.
Seven surgeries — and still, Hunter’s spirit remains unbroken.

It’s not just the surgeries; it’s the mental and emotional toll that comes with such a prolonged recovery.
The journey has tested him in ways most of us could never comprehend. The physical pain alone has been unimaginable. But Hunter has continued to fight with everything he has.
Tomorrow, as he heads into surgery again, he’ll be surrounded by the love and prayers of so many people who have followed his journey and supported him along the way.
He’ll be surrounded by the hope of a community that refuses to let him face this fight alone.
It’s easy to feel discouraged when the road to recovery is as long and as grueling as this one. But Hunter has shown us all what true perseverance looks like.
He’s not just fighting for his body to heal. He’s fighting for a future filled with opportunity, with joy, and with the strength to move forward.
A few days ago, Hunter was moved to Room 41 on the 10th floor, a space that represents yet another step in his recovery.
It’s not the end of the road.

It’s not a sign that his journey is over.
But it’s a sign that he’s made it this far, and that in itself is something worth celebrating.
He has come so far in just a short amount of time.
And while there is still a long road ahead, tomorrow’s surgery marks an important step in his recovery.
The fight is far from over, but one thing is certain: Hunter has proven time and again that he is stronger than any challenge that comes his way.
As we get closer to tomorrow, let’s rally around Hunter.
Let’s send him all of the positive thoughts, messages, and encouragement that we can.
Flood him with love and strength that he can read before they wheel him back into the operating room.

Each message will remind Hunter of how many people are thinking of him, praying for him, and supporting him on this long and difficult journey.
What do you say to a young man who just wants his hands back?
What do you say to a young lineman who, after everything, simply wants to return to the game he loves?
You tell him that we see his strength.
We see his determination.
And we’re all here for him — cheering him on every step of the way.
This is a story of resilience. It’s a story of a young man who was dealt a hand that would have broken most people, but instead, he’s chosen to fight.
He’s fighting for the chance to regain his life, his mobility, and his independence. He’s fighting for the opportunity to do the things he loves again.
And he’s doing it with the strength and courage of someone far beyond his years.
It’s been a long and difficult journey, but it’s one that Hunter has taken on with unwavering strength.
He hasn’t just been fighting for his health; he’s been fighting for a future. A future that is still so bright, despite the hardships he’s faced.
Tomorrow’s surgery is another step. Another challenge.

But with every challenge, he gets stronger.
With every setback, he rises higher.
And with every message of support, he gains more courage to keep fighting.
As we prepare for this surgery, let’s keep sending Hunter our prayers, our love, and our strength.
And let’s remember that no matter how difficult the road is ahead, we are all in this together.
Hunter is not alone in this fight.
We are with him every step of the way.
Thank you for being part of this journey. Thank you for supporting Hunter, for encouraging him, and for continuing to stand by him as he fights for his future.
Together, we will get through this. And together, Hunter will heal. 💖
