SAT. A NEW BEGINNING FOR ROWAN: 18-MONTH-OLD BEGINS LIFE AFTER TRANSPLANT

After months of waiting, hoping, and praying, Rowan’s long-awaited transplant day finally arrived — and with it, a moment her family has dreamed of since the day she was born.
The surgery, performed yesterday, went well, and today the sweet 18-month-old is beginning the next chapter of her story.
Rowan has lived with Maple Syrup Urine Disease (MSUD) since birth — a rare and serious metabolic condition that has kept her in and out of hospitals for most of her short life. For her, babyhood has meant IV lines, constant monitoring, and restrictions no child should have to know. And yet, through it all, Rowan has shown a strength far bigger than her tiny frame.
Now, thanks to the extraordinary gift of an organ donor and a medical team that carried her through a long, demanding day in the operating room, Rowan has something she has never truly had before:
A real chance.
A chance to feel better.
A chance to grow and heal.
A chance to simply be a kid.
The days ahead will still require close monitoring and careful recovery, but today is different. Today is about gratitude — for the donor who made this miracle possible, for a family finally able to exhale, and for a little girl who has already fought so hard and continues to fight.
Rowan is waking up to a new beginning. 💚
