SAT . LOUISIANA LINEMAN FIGHTS FOR HIS LIFE AFTER DEVASTATING ELECTRICAL INJURY DURING ICE STORM

JONESBORO, La. — A young lineman who answered the call when his community needed power restored is now fighting the hardest battle of his life.

Hunter Alexander, a 24-year-old Entergy lineman from Louisiana, was critically injured while working to repair power lines damaged by the recent ice storm. While restoring service near Jonesboro, Hunter suffered a severe electrical shock, leaving him with life-threatening injuries.

He was first rushed to a hospital in Ruston before being airlifted to a specialized burn unit in Shreveport, where doctors continue to fight to save his arm — and his future.

According to his family, Hunter has already endured multiple surgeries, including a recent emergency operation in which surgeons had to act quickly to stop massive bleeding in his arm. He remains under intensive care at LSU Health Shreveport, facing a long and uncertain road to recovery.

Those who know Hunter describe him as dedicated, hardworking, and proud of the job he does — a lineman who never hesitated to step into dangerous conditions so others could stay warm and safe.

As the family waits and hopes, they are asking for prayers — for healing, strength, and peace — for Hunter, his father Daren Alexander, and everyone who loves him.

A GoFundMe has been created to help support Hunter’s recovery and mounting medical expenses for those who feel led to help.

This tragedy is also a powerful reminder of the risks linemen, tree crews, first responders, and medical teams take every day — especially during extreme weather — putting their lives on the line so our communities can function.

🙏 Please keep Hunter Alexander in your prayers.
