LDL. Two Warriors, One Hospital: Wesson and Hunter’s Shared Fight for Life

In the same hospital where Hunter Alexander continues his long road to recovery, another young warrior is fighting his own life-changing battle.

His name is Wesson.

During the recent ice storm, Wesson was electrocuted by a downed power line behind his home. In an instant, his life changed — and now he is recovering in the very same hospital as Hunter. Two families, two journeys, one place filled with hope, fear, and prayer.

A Morning Full of Courage

On the morning of February 4, Wesson surprised everyone with his strength and spirit. His parents shared that he spent the day playing with toys, reading books, and watching cartoons. He even began planning his escape, repeatedly asking his dad, “Where’s your truck?” — already dreaming of going home.

Despite his cheerful moments, Wesson’s body is still working overtime.

He remains on a high level of oxygen as he heals from the trauma, fights a virus, and struggles to breathe with fluid still in his lungs. Yet through it all, his vital signs remain strong — a powerful sign of resilience.

Faith in the Storm

Wesson’s parents say they are overwhelmed by the outpouring of love and prayers from people across the community. They believe those prayers are making a difference.

“God is listening,” they shared.

They hold tightly to the words of Ephesians 3:20–21, a reminder of hope even in the darkest moments.

Two Families, One Prayer

While Wesson fights to heal, Hunter continues his own recovery just down the hall. Their stories have become connected — two warriors, two families, and countless people standing in faith for both.

In a place filled with uncertainty, one truth remains clear:
hope is still alive in these hospital rooms.

And as long as these boys keep fighting, their community will keep praying.
